The 5th PAM² workshop “Post-processing in AM” was organized at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany in November 2018. The public part of the workshop consisted of several lectures on post-processing in AM as well as on various topics such as laser lithography, laser direct writing, functional 3D printing in the domain of Industry 4.0, laser welding, etc. 

In addition to the lectures, the ESRs received a tour in the facilities of KIT and a complementary skills training on intercultural competences. Furthermore, the workshop was combined with a 2-day visit to the Formnext exhibition, that is fully dedicated to AM, where the ESRs could explore the latest advances in AM technology.
